Google has begun deploying advanced AI features to Gemini Live, allowing it to analyze your screen or smartphone camera feed and provide real-time responses. This rollout, confirmed by Google spokesperson Alex Joseph in an email to The Verge, follows nearly a year after the company first showcased the underlying “Project Astra” technology.
One of the key additions is live video processing, enabling Gemini to interpret live camera footage and respond instantly. In a recently released demonstration video, a user seeks Gemini’s assistance in selecting a paint color for newly glazed pottery, showcasing the AI’s practical applications.
